QUESTION: Does this fit E40 base?

ANSWER: It suits what I refer to as a mogul base, which is the base for the typical metal halide 400w and 1000w, though I'm not positive if it is an E40 base. the big plug. I received 4 of them, and 1 didn't ignite, but they quickly sent me a substitute, and they are bright. Bypassing the ballast with the hot to center pin, I converted 400wmh.
